STICKY WATERFALL EXPLORER

You don’t have to be a regular rider to enjoy our cycling tour to the stunning Sticky Waterfall.  Starting from the picturesque Mae Kuang reservoir, guests will take a long tail boat across the lake to the starting point of the bike ride. From here you will ride along a combination of quiet country roads, dirt dual track and single track passing through verdant forest, caves, villages and temples before reaching the end destination, Sticky Waterfall / Bua Tong.  Here you can swim, scramble and play among the many waterfall tiers. 

The stunning limestone rock is as the name suggests very sticky making it easy to traverse up the waterfall.  After a delicious lunch and refreshments guests will be escorted back to the Trailhead office or
accommodation upon request.  The Rural Explorer tour is suitable for people of all ages and abilities with only a good level of fitness required.  A backup car will be on hand at all times during the tour.

Location: Mae On, Chiang Mai approx. 1 hour from Chiang Mai’s Old City

Meeting/Pick-up points: Guests to be picked up at hotel, guesthouse, home etc., please advise when booking. Pickup locations must be within Chiang Mai city limits.

What to wear and bring: Loose fitting clothes, shorts and outdoor shoes, sunscreen and camera.

Restrictions: We have no minimum age, but we require the person to be at least 140 centimeters tall.  We have size S, M, L, XL bikes available.

08:30am           Pick up from hotel and transfer to Trailhead office

09:00am           Welcome & introduction, complimentary coffee, meet the team and briefing on cycling tour

09:30am            Shop departure

10.30am            Arrive at the start point and take long tail boat across Mae Kuang dam

11.00am            Begin the cycling adventure through beautiful Thai countryside

12:00pm            Explore Luang cave and see the thousands of bats and other wildlife

14:30pm             Arrive at Sticky Waterfall and enjoy a refreshing cool down

15:30pm            Enjoy a delicious Thai lunch and energizing coconut

16:00pm            Program wrap-up and transfer back to Trailhead office or hotel

17:00pm             Arrive at Trailhead office or hotel
