Mae Kampong Hike and Bike

We will drive to Mae Kampong and stop for a coffee / cake before starting the hike with takes place above Mae Kampong waterfall. The first hour will be quite a steep climb through the forest before levelling off as we near the highest point which borders Chiang Mai and Lampang. We will have a light lunch at the highest point before continuing to complete the loop. Please note the final route will be finalized after October 1st when Chae Son National Park reopens.
At this point we will prepare the bikes for the ride through 13km of undulating terrain with some fast sections of downhill, short but punchy climbs and dense undergrowth. As we descend the terrain changes from dirt / mud to sand / gravel with some fun technical sections such as rock drops, chutes and twisty sections through the trees. Please note that the trail is overgrown in sections during rainy season but there are lots of sections of open trail to enjoy. The bike ride finishes in the village of Huai Keaw where we meet the rest of the group and return to the city.
